Maison Mirbel presents Anni Albers (1899-1994) considered the greatest textile designer of the 20th century. As both a student and teacher in the Bauhaus weaving workshop, Albers has had an enormous impact worldwide on the design of fabrics and the creation of singular weaves and hangings.

These jewelry kits are based on original pieces shown in 1941 at a traveling common object jewelry exhibit put on by Albers and Alex Reed, a colleague at Black Mountain College. Albers believed that ordinary materials could be “very beautiful and even precious.”
